چکیده

Context: This review aimed to investigate the computed tomography (CT) imaging features of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Evidence Acquisition: Bilateral lung involvement (70%), peripheral distribution (67.5%), multifocal (67.3%) and ground glass opacity (66.1%) were observed in most infected patients. Results: Evaluation number lobes involved patients showed no abnormalities 7.2% (85/1177) Regarding performance reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) chest CT scan, sensitivity RT-PCR was estimated at 70% (925/1311) 89% (6605/7396) upon admission, respectively; nevertheless, increased as time from symptom onset increased. The image acquisition parameters affecting quality patient dose also discussed. Studies suggested that these factors should be adjusted according stage. Based on our findings, adequately high eight days after symptoms. Conclusion: Therefore, there is need for high-resolution scan this interval. Using ImpactDose software, mean effective doses 4.38 5.71 mSv male female groups, respectively. risk cancer 36% higher females than males, shown by PCXMC program.

Diagnostic value of chest CT in Iranian patients with suspected COVID-19

Background: In the current COVID-19 pandemic, there is a rising need for a rapid and reliable diagnostic tool. We hypothesized that chest computed tomography (CT) can be a potential alternative for reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The aim of this study was to compare the diagnostic value of chest CT and RT-PCR in Iranian patients with suspected COVID-19. Methods: In a...
